Pastor Stephen Broden is the underdog candidate in Texas’ 30th Congressional District encompassing much of South Dallas. He is challenging longtime Democratic incumbent Eddie Bernice Johnson, who is embroiled in a scandal whereby she disbursed District 30 scholarship funds to well-connected friends and her family at the expense of her constituents.
