Florida Christian Center Plans to Burn Koran on 9/11, Muslims Protest Across the World

The Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, FL has announced that it will burn the Quran on September 11th. This has caused great outrage by Muslims across the world.
Today in Afghanistan, student protesters gathered outside Kabul's Milad ul-Nabi mosque, chanting, "Death to America." One student said,
"We call on America to stop desecrating our Holy Koran." Street protests condemning the church would continue "every day."
Saturday in Indonesia, thousands of protesters gathered outside the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta.
Protesters in Jakarta carried signs saying, "Jihad to protect Koran" and "You burn qu'ran you burn in hell." The protesters included members of the hard-line Muslim group Hizb ut-Tahrir Indonesia and the pluralism care movement, a multi-faith group.
In a blog post, the Dove World Outreach Center explains why it is burning the Koran.
On 9/11/10 we are burning Korans to raise awareness and warn. In a sense it is neither an act of love nor of hate. We see, as we state in the Ten Reasons below, that Islam is a danger. We are using this act to warn about the teaching and ideology of Islam, which we do hate as it is hateful. We do not hate any people, however. We love, as God loves, all the people in the world and we want them to come to a knowledge of the truth. To warn of danger and harm is a loving act. God is love and truth. If you know the truth it can set you free. The world is in bondage to the massive grip of the lies of Islam.
The post then continues to cite ten specific reasons it has chosen to burn the Koran.

burning the quran
This is horrible. While
This is horrible. While those that attacked our country on 9/11 were of the Muslim faith, that is not to say /all/ Muslims are anti-American. I don't agree that a mosque should be built near Ground Zero, but if you are a true Christian, you know that what this pastor plans to do is completely un-Christian. The Islam religion is monotheistic just like Christianity. We all believe in one God, and though we have very different views apart from that one commonality, burning their holy book is disrespectful. There are many people that considered themselves Christians that have committed horrible crimes, but does this make it acceptable to burn a Bible?
