Arrington Issues Statement Following Large Scale Drug Bust in Abilene

Chairman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) issued the following statement in response to a “large scale” drug bust in Abilene, Texas. In total, 17 alleged drug dealers were arrested, with law enforcement seizing 29 kilos of methamphetamine, 721 grams of cocaine, 1,370 grams of fentanyl, and 60 firearms.

“1,370 grams of fentanyl were seized in Abilene this week – more than enough to kill the entire population of Abilene and Lubbock combined,” Arrington said. “I’m proud of our law enforcement officers who continue to step up, but this is the real-life consequence of a derelict President who cedes operational control of our sovereign borders to terrorist drug cartels.”
