I met with the Nueces County Medical Society last week. We are in dire need of funding to expand residency programs in South Texas. More than a dozen doctors in Corpus Christi discussed the issues they face delivering healthcare in South Texas. Shockingly, Texas is 48th in the nation in physicians per capita. The Environmental Protection Agency failed to provide documents and communication the Committee requested by August 24th concerning the agency’s involvement in the Gold King Mine spill. It is disappointing, but not surprising, that the EPA failed to meet the House Science Committee’s reasonable deadline in turning over documents pertaining to the Gold King Mine spill. Nearly two-thirds of Texas Republican voters polled say that Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton should resign. The poll comes in the wake of three indictments related to securities fraud that were handed down against the State’s current top law enforcement officer. Over the past few weeks, Americans have seen a series of videos come out of Planned Parenthood that are nothing short of horrifying. The footage shows senior Planned Parenthood officials laughing, swilling chardonnay and casually, callously, heartlessly discussing killing unborn children in order to sell their body parts.
