Over the weekend, hundreds of veterans from across the country descended on the area I represent for the 10th Annual Warrior’s Weekend event. A 501(c)3 non-profit, Warrior’s Weekend is an annual fishing event for military personnel wounded in The Global War on Terrorism held in Port O'Connor. Early in 2015, the Department of Homeland Security removed the TSA Director and Administrator after it was revealed that banned items made it through screening in different parts of our airports throughout the United States. This didn’t happen once or twice, but it happened 67 times out of 70 tries. That is a 90 percent failure rate.
