Last week we commemorated National Medal of Honor Day — honoring the remarkable Americans who earned the Medal of Honor based on their acts of courage and selflessness. Two of these exemplary heroes from Texas-11 grew up in Odessa: United States Marine Corps Private First Class Alfred “Mac” Wilson and United States Army Staff Sergeant Marvin R. Young. U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) participated in a press conference yesterday, hosted by the Midland Odessa Transportation Alliance (MOTRAN). Sen. National Vietnam War Veterans Day. Recognized annually each year, this day is dedicated to the thousands of surviving veterans who served in the Vietnam War. We are grateful to have the Concho Valley Vietnam War Veterans Memorial, situated outside of San Angelo in Texas-11. The memorial honors 48 soldiers from 15 counties within the Concho Valley who gave the ultimate sacrifice defending our country. Read more about National Vietnam War Veterans Day
