Gov. Brewer Outraged over Clinton's UN Report, Will Libya and Cuba Get to Decide if AZ 1070 is Right or Wrong?

In a State Department report to the United Nations, Hillary Clinton referenced Senate Bill 1070 stating:

"A recent Arizona law, S.B. 1070, has generated significant attention and debate at home and around the world. The issue is being addressed in a court action that argues that the federal government has the authority to set and enforce immigration law. That action is ongoing; parts of the law are currently enjoined."

Governor Jan Brewer was outraged by this and would like the reference removed from the report. According to Gov. Brewer:

"The idea of our own American government submitting the duly enacted laws of a state of the United States to 'review' by the United Nations is internationalism run amok and unconstitutional."

Governor Brewer also explains her frustation with the federal government's lack of communication, saying that she would have appreciated the federal government at least giving her a heads up before referencing SB1070 in the U.N. report. She says she had to hear about it over the Internet. Gov. Brewer also says:

"Now we find out that [Hillary Clinton] is going to turn us over to the Human Rights Council on Senate Bill 1070 and let countries like Libya and Cuba decide if we're doing right or wrong. It's outrageous and offensive - very, very offensive!"
