Ted Cruz, the Only Choice for Texas
Senator Ted Cruz was sworn into the United States Senate in 2013 representing the people of Texas. He is seeking his third six year term.
Ted is a graduate of Harvard Law School he then clerked for Chief Justice of the United States of the Supreme Court, William Rehnquist. Among other positions held: he was deputy attorney general for the U.S. Department of Justice and policy advisor in the George W. Bush administration. In Texas, Cruz was the Solicitor General from 2003 to 2008 where he successfully argued several cases before the Supreme Court.
Cruz certainly has the credentials to serve another term in the Senate. He has a strong history of standing up for the rights of 30 million Texans.
His challenger, Colin Allred, a once upon a time football player was elected to congress in district 32 in 2019. He graduated from the Berkeley school of law in California and is, of course, a civil rights lawyer. Berkeley has the reputation of being the most liberal university in the nation. BTW Kamala Harris’s parents attended this university also.
The political ads are coming fast and furious especially from Allred supporting his favorite topic abortion and access to abortion. He blames Cruz for banning abortion in Texas. He is telling lies because as a U. S. Senator Cruz does not vote in the Texas legislature. It is the Texas Senators and Representatives that vote on issues affecting Texans. In fact, Texas has been a prolife state for a very long time. In 2005, Texas banned abortions after 24 weeks and required parental consent for under 18 years of age.
Allred is not a good fit for Texas because of his extreme radical votes and beliefs. Allred voted NO on “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act and YES on “Ensuring Access to Abortion Act of 2022.” Further he voted NO on H.R.734 - Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2023. This bill would ensure school sports teams only allow players of the same biological sex. He also voted against Parental Rights Act H.R.5 ensuring the rights of parents to be honored and protected in the Nation’s public schools.
His deceiving political ads promoting himself as a “moderate” is a total lie. He is a radical leftist who votes with the biden administration 100% of the time. Allred is financially supported by Chuck Schumer, George Soros and other radical leftists.
When it comes to the Southern Border Allred fails to protect Texas and our nation. He has consistently voted against “racist border wall.” He supports an OPEN BORDER.
In addition, Allred signed a letter to Chairman Reed, Ranking Member Wicker, Chairman Rogers, and Ranking Member Smith, stating that, “In addition, denying this care to the transgender dependents and spouses of service members will also undermine our recruitment and retention efforts, as people will not join or remain in the Armed Forces if their family members are unable to receive the care they and their doctors agree is necessary. The federal government should be working to ensure all service members and their families can thrive. This includes working to ensure that LGBTQ+ service members and family members feel welcome in the military and that symbols and art forms related to the LGBTQ+ community are not singled out for censorship. If service members are concerned for their health care, their right to exist, or the wellbeing of their children and loved ones, they cannot focus on their jobs, thereby weakening military readiness and retention rates. Ensuring our ranks reflect the diversity of the American people is essential to the morale and cohesion of our Armed Forces and to our national security. We strongly urge you to remove these harmful sections from the NDAA during conference negotiations.” https://sarajacobs.house.gov/imo/media/doc/ndaa_conference_letter.pdf
It’s no secret that the race is narrowing between Cruz and Allred, but the recent Texas Politics Project by the University of Texas reveals that Cruz is leading by a slight margin.
The Senate debate on Tuesday, October 15, between Cruz and Allred should extinguish the lies that Allred is stating in his political ads. You can look up the facts on Allred by going to https://www.allredfacts.com/ Cruz crushed Allred. Allred looked scared the entire time. Cruz asserted during the debate that since he has been in office he as passed 101 bills while Allred has passed only three in the House. Cruz also stated that he did have substantial bipartisan support.
The Ted Cruz Bus Tour came to New Braunfels on October 19 and was a complete success. Hundreds listened intently at what Cruz had to say. He concluded by telling the audience that he requested three things from them.
1: CONTRIBUTIONS because Allred is being supported by the left who want Texas in a bad way.
2: VOLUNTEERS by block walking or making phone calls.
3: VOTES, Early Voting begins on Monday, October 21, and everyone should vote next week and bring 10 people to the voting place. If everyone does this, we can win. And remember to vote down ballot.
