House Passes Bill Making Daylight Saving Time Permanent

I was proud to vote in favor of the Sunshine Protection Act to make Daylight Saving Time Permanent. Twice a year, we put families and communities through an unnecessary disruption of changing clocks. Research has shown a measurable spike in car accidents in the days immediately following the spring time change. By ending the clock-switching once and for all, we can protect our families from disruption, keep our roads safer, and enjoy more daylight.
