Energy Site Visit in the Permian Basin

I was honored to host U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Regional Administrator Scott Mason and Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak of North Dakota in the Permian Basin this week.

To start the day, Diamondback Energy hosted us for a tour of one of their production facilities to showcase the dedication and effort required to produce American energy. On the tour, we also observed a demonstration by ChampionX to highlight Diamondback's advanced emissions monitoring system.

After the visit, we participated in a roundtable with producers, stakeholders, local leaders, and other EPA officials to discuss how the Trump administration, Congress, and individuals in the industry can work with the EPA, instead of against it as it was with the previous administration, to implement smart, commonsense policies that protect our environment while fostering energy production. The Permian Basin leads the world in energy production, and it was an honor to show them what the region is all about.

I thank Regional Administrator Mason and my good friend Congresswoman Fedorchak for visiting West Texas.
