Preserving Religious Liberty with President Trump on the National Day of Prayer

This past week, I had the honor of joining President Trump in the White House Rose Garden to celebrate the National Day of Prayer. On this important day, President Trump also announced a newly established Religious Liberty Commission — chaired by my good friend, Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick. The commission will seek to preserve and enhance religious liberty, investigating topics like parents' rights to educate their children in a religious setting, attacks on houses of worship, and free speech for faith-based organizations.

Faith and freedom are the bedrock of our nation. I applaud President Trump's dedication to preserving religious liberty, because as Lieutenant Governor Patrick said, "No one should get between God and those seeking him."
