Praying for the Permian Basin

We continue to pray for the entire Permian Basin in the aftermath of the senseless act of violence last week in Midland, especially the victims and the family of Ed Scott. Ed Scott meant so much to the City of Midland and the community, and he will be profoundly missed. We also continue to lift up the other victims who were injured and pray for healing. I am extremely grateful for the bravery of local law enforcement, first responders, and medical professionals.

I also join Odessa in mourning the loss of Odessa Fire Rescue Lt. Isai Huerta, who lost his life in the line of duty. He had dedicated nine years of his life to the Odessa Fire Rescue, serving and protecting his community. May God grant his family, fellow firefighters, and the community of Odessa peace and comfort in the days ahead.
