Catholic Sisters in Texas Sponsor Billboard Citing Jesus on Immigrants

14 Congregations of Catholic Sisters in Texas recently sponsored a billboard in Houston that reminds Catholics and Christians of Jesus' teachings on the importance of compassion and service to strangers as stated in Matthew 25:35.

Sister Donna Pollard, OP with the Domican Sister of Houston, gave the following statement to TexasGOPVote:

"Our congregation is one of 14 Texas-based congregations of Catholic Sisters supporting a statewide campaign affirming the dignity and rights of immigrants and refugees. Grounded in faith and decades of service, we uphold the call to promote compassion, justice, and respect for all people. The billboard is posted off I-10 East at Wood St. near downtown Houston."
