Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller Removed from X
As I write this article, Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller’s X account has been removed as of January 7. By whom I don’t know, but it should have been removed years ago.
The hatred Archbishop Gustavo has for Donald Trump is sad and a disgrace to his office of prelate. It is inconceivable to me that a leader of the Catholic Church can be so blinded to the truth. In the past, he blamed Trump for the tragic shooting in El Paso and had to apologize for his imprudence. It seems that the archbishop has not learned to stop blaming Trump for all that goes wrong. After the horrific terrorist attack in New Orleans in the early morning of January 1, where 14 innocent people lost their lives while celebrating the New year, he tweeted on Jan 1 at 7:05pm, gaining 50K views:
"The killing today is the result of words and actions that leaders have demonstrated in our recent history. We should not blame others. We need to take responsibility. We need civil discourse and lots of humility and charity."
Had the archbishop waited he would have found that it was a radicalized veteran who planned very carefully his attack. An Isis flag was found in his truck. The prelate should be more attentive to the “killing” that is going on in his own backyard. The mayor of San Antonio, Ron Nirenberg, and City Council funds travel for those wanting an illegal abortion in Texas. What has the archbishop done to stop these murders?
On Jan 2, 2025 he began his accusatory tweets starting at 8:34pm when he refers to a "tyrant." "Do we want peace! Stop all this tyrant words and actions. We want peace! Change your attitude. Attitude does good things if you truly want. Do you want peace? Christ can help you! He is the Prince of Peace! God, God, God."
At 8:51pm he posted this tweet:
"Why these tragedies? Because elect president’s words in the last few years…If we trigger actions…what do we want? If the leadership speak about hate, we will’ve hate. Hate. If we have actions of love ,we’ll love. Some people does not want to love. They have a problem. Big…"
As the US looks forward to the new year, 2025, and moves forward to a better life with the upcoming change in administration that could very well save America from complete destruction, the archbishop attacks the president elect by tweeting, "Thanks be to God that trump is not God. Thanks be God for ever!" 8:52pm Jan 2, 2025. This tweet was deleted before his account was removed. I’m wondering just how much this tweet cost the archdiocese in revenue.
I’m not sure why there is so much hate in his heart that he felt it necessary to post such tweets, but they accomplished absolutely nothing that can be considered “Christian.”
What the archbishop promotes is hate, discord and confusion among his flock. Satan is the master of confusion. What his flock needs is love, hope and comfort in these troubling times.
Farewell to the archbishop’s tweets. I pray the archbishop finds peace in his heart and love of all people as he has stated in many of his past comments.
