Reminder: Every Democrat Voted Against Tax Cuts for American Families

July 4th marked the first anniversary of the Working Families Tax Cuts being signed into law. This landmark legislation extended the 2017 Trump Tax Cuts, all while preventing the largest tax hike in American history. Without Republicans passing the Working Families Tax Cuts, families in Texas-11 would have faced a 26% tax increase. To put this into perspective, an average family of four in TX-11 making an annual income of $67,226 would see their taxes rise by $1,293—roughly the cost of seven weeks’ worth of groceries.

In addition to stopping a devastating tax hike, we fought for no tax on tips or overtime, enhanced the child tax credit, created the Rural Health Transformation Program, and much more. The record is clear that Republicans are working to make life affordable for American families, not Democrats.
