Voice of the Conservative Vote: Michael Goldman

Michael Goldman is a lifelong Republican from Houston, Texas. A graduate of Bellaire High School, Brandeis University, and the University of Texas School of Law, he currently resides in Austin, where he works as a policy analyst for the Greg Abbott campaign.

On June 6, 2014, he was honored to be elected State Republican Executive Committeeman from Senate District 21, which stretches from Austin to Laredo and to the Gulf Coast. He also serves as Treasurer of the Texas Federation of Young Republicans, and as President of the Austin Young Republicans (AYR). Under his leadership, the attendance and profile of AYR have risen, with bi-monthly events featuring federal, state and local candidates and officeholders.

He has taken leading roles before, in College and Law School Republicans, Undergraduate Student Government, and as Student Representative to the State Bar of Texas. He has sought out opportunities to work with Republicans in government, including at internships with Rep. Ted Poe in Washington, D.C., and Governor Perry's General Counsel in Austin; and as a former policy analyst for the Texas Conservative Coalition. He is also a proud Eagle Scout and an active member of the Republican Jewish Coalition.

"My values are informed by a love of country, a strong Jewish faith, and a certainty that Thomas Jefferson was right when he proclaimed 'that government is best which governs least.' I am passionate about working with like-minded Texans to advance the cause of the Party of Lincoln and Reagan!"
