Voice of the Conservative Vote: Connor Griffin

Connor Griffin is the new State Chairman of the High School Republicans of Texas. Connor is a junior at Midway High School, a 5-A high school in Waco, Texas. At Midway HS, he participates in the Business Professionals of America, serves as Vice President of the student council, is involved in the political science club and currently serves as the President of the Midway HS chapter of HSRT. Connor attends the First Baptist Church of Hewitt where he is involved in the youth group.

Connor said, "As State Chairman, I hope to continue to grow and transform HSRT into an influential part of the Republican Party. I ran for this office because with this position, every day I am given the opportunity to promote Republican values of equal opportunity and individual liberty with my fellow peers. As chairman, I will continue to grow this organization so that more and more young people are given the opportunity to witness and experience true conservatism every day. Under my leadership, I am confident that we can restore the values that make this nation great. I humbly ask for your support and prayers in this effort."

Connor Griffin took office effective January 27, 2014 to replace Connor Pfeiffer, a senior at Alamo Heights HS in San Antonio. Connor Pfeiffer is a co-founder of the High School Republicans of Texas and has been State Chairman since it became an official auxiliary in March 2012.

The High School Republicans have chapters across the state, which work tirelessly to bring the Republican Party's message to students and engage them in the political process. The High School Republicans of Texas have logged thousands of hours volunteering for campaigns and working to get Republicans elected. We look forward to working with their new chairman, Connor Griffin, to continue to build their organization and involve more young people in our party.
