Bob Lemer

Mr. Bob Lemer is Chairman of the Citizens for Public Accountability.

Mr. Lemer is a retired partner of the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young LLP, where he headed the firm’s Houston area services to over 100 governmental and not-for-profit clients for over a quarter-century. Mr. Lemer served on the national health care committee of Ernst & Young, the world’s largest provider of auditing and consulting services to the health care industry.

In the 1980s, he was on the Houston City Budget Committee of the Houston Chamber of Commerce (replaced by the Greater Houston Partnership). Mr. Lemer has performed extensive research over the last several years regarding the financial and operational performance of Texas state and local governments, particularly in the Harris County area.
