Andrew Paredes Castanuela, often referred to by CAS, is running for the office of the United States Senate for the Great State of Texas. seeking the senate seat currently occupied by Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison who is running for the Governor of Texas in the Republican Primary. Sen. Hutchison has projected to resign her seat shortly following the Republican Primary.
Castanuela strongly believes in tax reform, stating that our current tax system penalizes the middle class and provides opportunities for our government to manipulate the congressional budget. He is also an advocate for our Second Amendment rights, saying that our founding fathers wanted to ensure that its citizens have the right to bear arms.You can view his platform in more detail here.
Andrew Castanuela is currently retired from the Air Force with decorations in Basic Training, PME Leadership, Good Conduct, Achievement, Accommodation, Global War on Terrorism, Longevity, and Overseas.
Castanuela is affiliated with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (Lifetime), National Association for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (NAADAC), Texas Association of Addiction Professionals (TAAP), and the Texas Farm Bureau.
Andrew Castanuela has also been featured as a Voice of the Texas GOP.
He currently lives in Early, TX with his wife and six kids.
