Red Sonja’s Endorsements For Non Judicial Races (Bexar County) Run Off Election May 27, 2014

It’s hard to believe that the Run Off Election is almost here and some sort of normalcy will return to those of us who participate in the political arena. The next BIG step will be the November General Election when we can optimistically crush our opponents, the Democrats, our real enemy.   Read more »

David Dewhurst: Genuine Texan

From the residents of the high plains to those in the urban centers of Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, you realize just how special Texans are. Texans are instantly recognizable for that mix of rugged individualism, a strong sense of service and a never-quit mentality inherited from our ancestors.   Read more »

Red Sonja’s Endorsements For Judicial Races (Bexar County) Run Off Election May 27, 2014

The Judicial elections are of the utmost importance, especially at a time when so many judges are being activists from the bench. The decisions from the bench directly impact the lives of local residents. It’s a shame that so little is known about the judicial positions. I have done research on the candidates and believe that the best Republican nominees for judge are Crystal Chandler for County Court at Law #13 and Susan Skinner for County Court at Law #14. Lorina Rummel in the 144th District Court race is the candidate for whom you should cast your vote.   Read more »

Who is Missing From These Pictures? – Stunning No-Show at the HCRP

There was a remarkable event Monday morning at the headquarters of the Harris County Republican Party. It was a packed standing room only crowd expressing unity at a Republican press conference with a wide swath of Texans, not just Houstonians, in attendance. Several notable politicians were there taking time out of their busy day- before-the-election schedule to be there. There was a stunning no-show as well.

Glenn Hegar for Comptroller Walks the Walk – Passed Massive Tax Cuts

Many people have wondered how I came to the conclusion to personally support Senator Glenn Hegar for Texas Comptroller of Public accounts over the other candidates. The answer is simple. I have seen Glenn Hegar walk the walk and not just talk the talk. In the 2013 Texas legislative session, Senator Glenn Hegar pushed through a massive franchise tax relief bill that cut taxes on businesses by hundreds of millions of dollars. Interestingly enough, the bill was introduced in the Texas House by Hilderbran, who is also running for Texas Comptroller.   Read more »

Is the Harris County GOP Low Hanging Fruit for the Democrats?

So, clearly I have a dog in the fight for the Harris County GOP Chairman's race. Every Republican voter in Harris County should have a dog in the fight for this race; it is ground zero for the future of the nation, I kid you not. Jared Woodfill, the current county chairmen and his loyal followers, (based on the fear that Jared will lose his bid for re-election) have laid claim to the moral future of Harris County.   Read more »

What Adryana Boyne’s Primary Race could mean to the Texas GOP

Adryana Boyne’s primary race in Texas State House District 102 has drawn national and statewide attention. She will be the second Hispanic Republican woman to serve in the Texas State House. She has a long history of political activism in Texas and nationally, including experience in articulating, lobbying for and defending conservative values and policies, in Spanish and in English.

Texas will be majority Hispanic by the year 2020. The GOP has a pressing need to find bilingual spokespersons who can help Americans of every background and language understand that our GOP values are the values many Hispanics and other Americans already embrace. Being bilingual,

TexasGOPVote Blogger Endorsements: Larry Perrault

I had left a couple of races indeterminate. In the US Senate race, I expressed the priority of unseating John Cornyn; not because I dislike him or doubt his sentiments. But the calculating reticent tactics of traditional Republicans has to go if this country is going to have any shot at rising out f its current hole. If Texas is going to help the effort, Cornyn shows no inclination to be a part of it. I previously said I thought Steve Stockman had the best opportunity to stop him. But let’s consider the situation. Stockman’s lackluster campaign trails Cornyn considerably. But a runoff possibility is not in the total of the runner-up, but in the leader’s failure to garner

The Importance of the Attorney General in Fighting Government Expansion

U.S. vs. Darby Lumber Co. (1941) is one of the most destructive Supreme Court decisions ever handed down by the high court. Through this decision the Court gave near unlimited application of the Commerce Clause—thus being a precursor to the Obamacare decision issued by the Roberts Court—which consequently gutted the 10th Amendment of all the Founders’ intended meaning. Justice Stone, writing for a unanimous Court, wrote
