Congressman Neugebauer Votes to Balance Budget and Increase Opportunities for West Texans

I voted to pass the House Republican budget, The Path to Prosperity, developed by House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan. This legislation will reduce spending by $4.6 trillion and balances the federal budget in ten years.

This budget not only reins in government spending, but it does so while strengthening our safety net and kick-starting the economy. It simplifies the tax code, preserves Medicare for current seniors, reforms it for future generations, and repeals Obamacare.   Read more »

Texas’ New Senator Ted Cruz Tells It Like It Is!

What a joy it has been to watch Texas’ newest Senator Ted Cruz in action! In the short time he has been serving in Washington, he has already become a strong voice on the Hill and made an enormous impact for the conservative values that we hold so dear.

On January 31, Senator Cruz grilled Secretary of Defense nominee Chuck Hagel, reprimanding him for a number of failures, among

Congressmen Kevin Brady and Pete Olson heard from officials at the Texas Medical Center about challenges related to the solvency and political futures of Medicaid, Medicare and the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare). Why Obamacare needs to be Repealed!

A few years ago, I listen to a speech on health care where a speaker shocked the audience when he told them that the number of Canadians who are not covered by health insurance in their country would be the equivalent of 15 to 20 million Americans. Studies by MIT, the Cato Institute and the CBO have supported these numbers; so how do we declare health care a right when at minimal 5 to 10% of Americans would not see the benefit of the law on any given day?   Read more »

Pelosi: ObamaCare’s “Best Is Yet to Come”?

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is a political committee devoted to maintaining and increasing the 239-member Republican majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The Supreme Court decision upholding ObamaCare prompted immediate celebrations from top Democrats, who insisted ObamaCare’s “best is yet to come”:

“PELOSI ON OBAMCARE: ‘THE BEST IS YET TO COME’”: (“Pelosi on ObamaCare: ‘The Best is Yet to Come,’” Real Clear Politics, 6/29/2012)   Read more »

Will Supreme Court Decision Unite America?

“…we place Liberty at Peril.”
Dissenting Justices Scalia, Thomas, Kennedy, Alito
"Excessive taxation ... will carry reason and reflection to every man's door, and particularly in the hour of election."
Thomas Jefferson, letter to John Taylor, 1798

SCOTUS

How the Justices Ruled on Health Care last week was a sad day for people who understand that the Affordable Health Care Act is not good for America. We were not only catapulted into Socialism but we lost any hope for justice from our Supreme Court. Justice Roberts washed his hands in front of the American people much like Pontius Pilate.

SCOTUS Declares Administration Liars on ObamaCare…and more

In one of the most convoluted SCOTUS decisions since Roe v. Wade, the Affordable Care Act has, by and large, not been overturned. (There is an exception to this dealing with the instruction to states to vastly expand Medicaid. That will take much more time to even sort out.)

The “individual mandate,” contrary to the words of Pelosi, Reid, Obama, and his cast of Progressive Socialist Democrats, has been ruled a tax.
