Interviews From Arizona Immigration Summit

As a result of my involvement in Arizona, I have done several interviews to help advance the truth that there are free-thinking young people and free-thinking Latinos who don’t believe everything they hear on TV.

Immediately after getting off stage at the rally, I was approached by a cameraman from Phoenix news station CBS 5. I was still at the capitol when the interviewed aired, but in addition to who I am and where I’m from, they wanted to know why I was there supporting Arizona.

Harry Reid is Clueless on Republican Values - Preys on Hispanic Voters

While on the campaign trail on Tuesday Nevada Senator Harry Reid put his foot in his mouth...again. Reid targeted Hispanic voters stating, "I don't know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican." What Reid fails to understand is that the Hispanic culture shares most, if not all, of our core conservative values. Hispanics are overwhelminly pro-life, pro-family, fiscally conservative, and believe in hard work - not welfare!   Read more »

Did that just happen?

One of the most serious things that I was not as prepared for as I had hoped to be was protesters. Of course I knew they would be there--that is unless their buses had already left back to LA by the time I got there.   Read more »

Speech at Stand With Arizona Rally

The following is a transcript of the speech I gave at the Stand With Arizona Rally:

Buenas tardes, Arizona!

As a young conservative born and raised on the Texas border, I am here to tell you why I stand with Arizona. Doing what is right is not always easy, and like so many of you, I am tired!--tired of a federal government that would rather score cheap political points than do what is right.   Read more »

Talk About Diversity

Once I made the decision to participate in the National Immigration Policy Summit, things began to move quickly and smoothly. As much as I tried to prepare myself for the weekend, I wasn’t prepared for any of it. It was not at all what I expected.

First off, in typical college student fashion, I wasn’t prepared for my seminars as I procrastinated too much in the week before the summit. My first seminar was right after lunch, where Michelle Malkin was a special guest presenter. As usual, Mrs. Malkin was inspiring and informative. As soon as lunch ended and we all made our way back to the Arizona Senate

Invitation to Stand With Arizona

On July 31st, 2010, I participated in the National Immigration Policy Summit and the Stand With Arizona rally hosted by Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce at the Arizona State Capitol Complex in Phoenix. When I was initially invited, I was definitely excited and ready to go; why wouldn’t I be excited?   Read more »

Rick Perry on the Immigration Law Ruling

Governor Rick Perry was interviewed by Greta Van Susteren July 29th regarding the Arizona immigration law ruling. Governor Perry also discussed the federal government's failure to do their job to protect the US-Mexico border and the negative impact this has had on Texas. He also explained that Texas is one of eight states to have filed an amicus brief in support of Arizona SB1070.   Read more »

SB 1070 - Judge Blocks Sections of Arizona Immigration Law

Today in Phoenix, Federal Judge Susan Bolton (a Clinton appointee) announced the Arizona law will go into effect as scheduled, but without most of the “controversial provisions”. Her ruling puts on hold the sections of the bill requiring police officers to check the immigration status of suspected illegal aliens while they are enforcing other laws.   Read more »
