Pro-Immigration Group Endorses Mitt Romney - Paul Ryan Ticket for President and Vice President

As the newly appointed Texas Director of Cafe Con Leche Republicans (CCLR), I am happy to announce our group's endorsement of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan to be the next President and Vice President of the United States. This summer, Republicans have taken important steps to finding solutions to our broken immigration system through the adoption of pro-immigration reform planks in both the Texas and National Republican Platforms. Electing Romney/Ryan in November is a key step towards solving a system which has created chaos along our borders and encourages lawless behavior.   Read more »

The Texas Solution - A Video Recap of the Republican Party of Texas Platform Debate

This solution is an active statement by our party to take a pro-active step toward finding real solutions to the important issues of Border Security and Immigration Reform.

Limited Edition Prints to Benefit the Latino National Republican Coalition

Running late into the night of June 11th at the Republican Party of Texas Convention, the Latino National Republican Coalition of Texas held "Fiesta 2010" at the Hyatt Regency Dallas in true Latino fashion, complete with piñatas, chips, and salsa.


Outside of the party room, artist Richard Nunez displayed many of his art pieces, but one of his works stood out above the rest. Richard Nunez has graciously offered his assistance to the LNRC by painting an image of Texas complete with the LNRC logo.

Interview with Texas Border Volunteer

The Texas Border Volunteers assist law enforcement officials with securing the border, upholding the rule of law, and educating the general public with regard to immigration issues. The Texas Border Volunteers regularly conduct watches in South Texas. Teams are deployed on private property and report trespassers to the Border Patrol. Members volunteer their time and provide their own equipment.   Read more »

RPT 10: Unify to Keep Hands Off Texas

I attended the 2010 Republican Party of Texas Convention in Dallas this past week as a reporter, blogger, and as part of the campaign team for former State Chairman Cathie Adams.

Shortly after the hectic floor race for chairman that ended with Steve Munisteri of Houston defeating incumbent Chairman Adams, I walked with a heavy heart to the other side of the convention center where a little girl ran in front of me, decorated with what seemed like campaign stickers from every booth in the convention hall and a handful of Greg Abbott flags poking out of her hair.

Fiesta 2010: Latino National Republican Coalition of Texas

This convention, I personally witnessed Republican delegates and volunteer party activists put on a performance for the ages. Thousands, tirelessly working around the clock to make sure that the grassroots of Texas could speak with authority by the end of the convention. Even for our Fiesta, many of our LNRC members arrived late, smiling but exhausted after days of grueling discussion and meetings about how best to lead the Republican Party.   Read more »

State Rep. Dan Branch Discusses Education and Securing the Border

State Rep. Dan Branch (HD-108), Chairman of the Higher Education Committee, explains that the Texas House passed emerging tier one university reform and top 10% college admissions reform, along with adding additional scholarship money, all while balancing the budget.
