I received an email today from Illinois Senator Dick Durbin about gun control. Like most libs at this point, he is frothing at the mouth like a rabid dog on the issue of stealing your Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Never letting a good crisis go to waste, Durbin and the extreme leftist wing of the Democrat party are jumping with joy at the thought
Shortly after the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, President Barack Obama's former minister, Rev. Jeremiah Wright went on an anti-American rant which included an America-blaming quote, "America's chickens are coming home to roost." After listening to this pastor, whose church President Obama sat in for over 20 years, it is easy to see where the President gets his "blame America first" mentality. But after looking back at Obama's illegal war against Libya and his ill-advised Middle East policy, one must wonder if Rev. Wright would revise his now famous quote and say "Obama's chickens are coming home to roost"?
This week, the House Oversight Committee held hearings to get to the truth about what happened in Libya leading to the death of our Ambassador and 3 other Americans and then the subsequent cover-up. As you might recall, despite the fact that there
Before I could shift gears from the fantasy of a productive and auspicious state-command society, the talk on Sunday news-ralk television, predictably after the Tucson shooting story has leveled off, turned to gun-control. It is now widely conceded after Supreme Court rulings, that there IS an individual second amendment right to bear arms. So, at least the fantasy is largely set aside that killings can be averted by banning guns.
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie appeared on "Fox News Sunday" with Chris Wallace to discuss the response to the Tucson shooting, his thoughts on teacher unions, and the New Jersey budget.
Chris Wallace started off by asking how the Republicans should go about carrying out their mandate to oppose the Obama agenda while also being sensitive to a grieving country. Governor Christie responded: Read more »
After a week, I have decided to write something on the Tucson tragedy even though there is not much to add to what has already been discussed.
To begin with, President Obama acted Presidential by presenting the right tone. While I am not convinced that this was his best speech, at least he did what Presidents are supposed to do in moments of crisis, unite and seek a higher purpose. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for those who planned the memorial. Beginning with T-shirts
After the tragic shootings in Tucson this past weekend, there has been no shortage of commentary and blame ascribing the reasons for this senseless act. Unfortunately, most of the reasons given by the chattering class, liberal politicians and the liberal media can be written off as completely idiotic and devoid of any logic whatsoever. Of course, logic and clear thought are not the forte of liberal politicians and the irresponsible media that seem to dominate much of the public discourse. Read more »
Dead bodies lie covered in a Safeway parking lot while an ongoing crime scene was processed by Tuscon police, the Pima county sheriff and as many federal alphabet agencies as you could pour out of a can of Alphabet Soup. And yet, rather than mourning this event, a rabid liberal media began salivating at the opportunity to blame this deranged action of a madman on angry, Conservative political rhetoric. Read more »
"My sincere condolences are offered to the family of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and the other victims of today's tragic shooting in Arizona. On behalf of Todd and my family, we all pray for the victims and their families, and for peace and justice." - Sarah Palin

While Sunday, January 9th, is my birthday, celebrating and watching the NFL Playoffs was not the order of business in Arizona. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords is only one year older than me, and on Saturday she was shot. Thankfully she is alive. I have multiple tv sets in my living room, and they have been split between the football game and various news channels. I am keeping the Congresswoman in my prayers, along with the other victims and their families.
Also, Monday, January 10th, one day after me, my father celebrates his 70th birthday. I do not say it often enough, but I love you dad. I love you too mom. Regarding the Arizona tragedy, here is what we heard on Saturday. Read more »
First off my heart goes out to the families of all the victims that were murdered yesterday. My prayers go out to the injured victims and wish them a speedy recovery. I really did not want to have to write this blog because this is a time for mourning and not the time for pointing fingers and placing blame. However there are some very serious accusations that are being aimed at conservatives and Tea Party members. These accusations cannot go undefended. Someone has to take a stand and set the record straight. There is a very disturbing trend going on right now in the American media and Politics
