Small Business Owner - We Did Build It - Obama's War on Healthcare, Manufacturing, Small Business and Texas

Romney Ryan Flag in Houston TexasRecently I was driving down the freeway in Houston, Texas and I noticed a small business alongside the freeway that was making a BIG statement! Flying over the business was a giant American flag, which is common to see along Houston freeways. But next to that flag, instead of a giant Texas flag, was a solid blue flag with the letters proudly stating the owner's endorsement of "Romney - Ryan" to be our next president and vice-president.

I did a quick U-turn and came back to find not only the flags, but a big Ted Poe for Congress sign adorning the property of Houston Business Owner, Tim Mattingly

Make your Vote Count on Election Day

Tuesday, November 6th, is Election Day across the United States. This year’s election is shaping up to be one of the most decisive elections of our lifetime. Ohio voters will choose a U.S. President, a U.S. senator, all 16 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, seats in the state legislature, and will decide various local ballot measures.

Each of these elections will be important and many may be decided by a handful of votes. Ohio is considered an important swing state and often plays a deciding role in national elections.

Rules Committee Controversy Kicks off GOP Convention: Who Gets to Choose Delegates in the Future?

There is an old adage in law that says “tough cases make bad law.” That phenomena is on display at the GOP’s 2012 Convention in Tampa, where the Rules Committee has agreed to a rule change that would effectively eliminate the right of the people, our Texas Republican Party workers and activists, to select our delegates to future conventions. Instead, the presidential candidate, in this year’s case Mitt Romney,

Obama's Dream For America 2016

It was in DC during CPAC-2012 that I first heard Dinesh D’Souza speak about his film, Obama’s America 2016, and I was there to see the first trailer and hear him describe the film. On Saturday, August 18, 2012, Bill and I went to see D’Souza’s much anticipated documentary. The theatre auditorium was full except for a few seats up in the front section.

Florida Primary Results

NRCC - As a swing state in presidential elections, Florida is perpetually in the spotlight for both parties, and this year is no exception. Reapportionment following the 2010 census added two seats to Florida’s House delegation. Through the legislative redistricting process Republicans successfully strengthened a number of GOP held competitive seats and created new seats likely to elect Republicans this November. Democrats will have to answer to a large senior population in Florida that is livid about Democrats’ $716 billion in cuts to Medicare to fund a government takeover of healthcare outside of Medicare. Having President Obama on the top of the ticket will serve as a toxin that may condemn many Democrat challengers to failure in

Wisconsin Primary Results

NRCC - Cheeseheads are getting a lot of national attention these days and for good reason. Wisconsin is home to several outstanding leaders – one of whom will be our next Vice President. The Badger State has turned into a breeding ground for leaders who will stand up to special interests and Democrats who want to continue the same tax and spend policies that have driven our economic decline. The impressive recall election victory of Governor

You Built That

Last week, two huge victories were achieved by individual action. One, of course, was the victory of Ted Cruz over David Dewhurst for US Senate. This win is being attributed to money from outside groups, to Dewhurst's negative campaigning, and to the delay in the primary schedule.   Read more »

A Call For Unity

Republican Party of Texas (RPT) Chairman Steve Munisteri issued the following statement to Texas Republicans:

This past Tuesday, the Republican Party of Texas experienced the most spirited runoff that I have seen in my 40 years of involvement with the party. The turnout was phenomenal, with over 1.1 million Republican voters casting their ballots in this election. This is nearly twice as many voters as who voted in the March 2006 Primary. The voter turnout is especially impressive when you consider that the runoff was held on July 31st, and in the past Texas has had April runoffs.   Read more »
