Red Revolution 2014 - Let Freedom Ring

It seems we got the attention of the Democrats and Liberals when America flashed RED on November 4. Some are still in disbelief or in total shock and are responding accordingly. The liberal pundits say this will help Hillary Clinton in her presidential run. I say nothing can help Hillary with all her baggage, Benghazi is way too heavy a bag to dismiss. The NYT editorial claims Republicans won on Negativity. Republicans are even being blamed for ‘suppressing’ voter turnout of the young, poor and minorities. In essence, the voter turnout for the Democrats was low because of their own disappointment with the Obama policies. The national turnout rate was a mere 36.03% making the turnout rate the lowest in the last 72 years.

Regardless of what the Left claims, the Republicans won BIG! Republicans won because America is tired of the policies that are consuming our economy. America is fed up with the lies coming from the WH aimed at the low information voter with no solutions. Red America woke up, it’s that simple.

Now the real work begins in the Republican congress. Yes, it’s true that Harry Reid held back legislation but the general public does not understand this hideous power play. So it’s up to the Republicans to have their own plan to counter the liberals. It doesn’t take much to understand that the job to take back our country is overwhelming after 6 years of lawlessness and chaos. But a starting place would be to repeal ObamaCare, stop Obama and his ‘executive order’ on amnesty, sort out the veteran affairs, return education to the states, expand our energy capabilities, stop funding abortion through any government policy, restore our religious liberty and basically reinstate some semblance of integrity in congress.

This is not an easy task, but a necessary one if Americans want to begin to have any confidence in congress. It makes no difference if Obama uses his veto power as that is expected on ObamaCare, the Affordable Care Act, but the house has the power of the purse and that is how ObamaCare needs to be dismantled, piece by piece.

As far as his executive order, below is what Congressman Lamar Smith CD21 wrote. But I must caution our elected officials that we must offer solutions to our broken immigration system and not just regurgitate Obama's words.

This executive order would be a violation of the president’s oath of office and a blatant abuse of power. The president has sworn an oath of office to uphold the law but now he is planning to re-write them on his own. The Constitution specifically gives Congress – not the president – the power to make immigration laws. The president himself has repeatedly said he does not have the power to re-write immigration laws.

On March 28, 2011, President Obama said, “With respect to the notion that I can just suspend deportations through executive order, that’s just not the case, because there are laws on the books that Congress has passed . . . . [F]or me to simply through executive order ignore those congressional mandates would not conform to my appropriate role as President.”

On July 25, 2011, President Obama stated, “I swore an oath to uphold the laws on the books . . . . I know some people want me to bypass Congress and change the (immigration) laws on my own . . . . But that’s not how – that’s not how our system works. That’s not how our democracy functions. That’s not how our Constitution is written.”

On September 28, 2011, during a White House forum on Hispanic issues, President Obama claimed, “[T]his notion that somehow I can just change the laws unilaterally is just not true . . . . But the fact of the matter is there are laws on the books that I have to enforce . . . . [T]he notion that somehow, by myself, I can go and do these things. It’s just not true.”

On November 25, 2013, President Obama responded to individuals who called on him to stop deportations of illegal immigrants by saying, “[I]f, in fact, I could solve all these problems without passing laws in Congress, then I would do so. But we’re also a nation of laws.”

Of course, these statements were last year’s and have ‘evolved’. We should not underestimate Obama and his crew as they are masters at manipulation, lying and deceit. The MSM plays a significant role in guarding Obama’s real intentions and most certainly will mislead the general public.

The architect of ObamaCare, Dr. Jonathan Gruber’s ‘honesty’ or arrogance on lying is further proof how liberals think. How sincere they are in believing that the average American cannot think for himself, therefore, lying is the best method to achieve their goal. ObamaCare was a total deliberate deception played on the American people.

Republicans must stand strong in congress and not only stop Obama’s failing progressive agenda but find solutions to the immense problems Americans will face if not properly controlled in the newly elected congress. Otherwise the 2016 presidential election may prove to be disastrous to America if a Republican is not elected to the White House.
