Pro-Life and the Anti-Immigrant Movement

The organizations that are benefiting from the illegal surge on our southern border are those that want to radically change America to anti-immigration, which leads to population control. During the Republican state convention, there was chaos caused by a few ‘radical’ groups that many try to deny. The one thing that seems to connect these ‘radical’ people is NUMBERSUSA, FAIR and CIS. While I have known about these groups, it never occurred to me how much headway they had made in infiltrating conservative groups. The further we distance ourselves from God and his laws, the closer we become to groups that echo our own insecurities. These anti-immigration groups are in direct contradiction to the American tradition of receiving the immigrant and in God’s command, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth.” In Dennis Prager’s latest article, America Won’t Be Good without God, Prager comments, “To deny that human beings are filled with anti-social passions defies reality and betrays a lack of self-awareness.”

So who are these groups NUMBERSUSA, Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), and Center for Immigration Studies (CIS)? First they each have John Tanton in common. The New York Times labeled him the anti-immigration crusader. An extreme environmentalist from an early age, his frustration with population ‘growth’ turned him to Planned Parenthood and the Sierra Club. He founded several chapters of Planned Parenthood and Sierra Clubs and at one time was national president of Zero Population Growth which is now known as Population Connection.

Tanton is the driving force behind these organizations. As environmentalists, their only goal is population control and to make sure that the ‘white’ people live a ‘good’ life. For this reason alone, they oppose immigration, after all, immigrants have more than two babies. Tanton is credited with saying, “I’ve come to the point of view that for European-American society and culture to persist requires a European-American majority, and a clear one at that.” Obviously he was not happy with the brown ‘Mexican’ immigrant.

Tanton has remained in the background unlike Roy Beck of NUMBERSUSA. Beck was Tanton’s former editor of ‘The Social Contract’. The Social Contract is all about population control. This chilling excerpt is taken from the latest 2014 publication. “Population growth is now exacerbating nearly every environmental problem in the U.S., and tends to erase any gains made from conservation and technological advances. With its diminishing vital base of fertile soil and fresh water supplies, the U.S. is now in an unsustainable ecological situation about which everyone should be concerned.” In the inaugural 1991 issue of ‘The Social Contract’, Tanton reprinted, ‘The Tragedy of the Commons’, by Garrett Hardin. All you have to read are Hardin’s last two paragraphs to know that he believed that population control by any means was the answer to ‘real freedom’.

The most important aspect of necessity that we must now recognize, is the necessity of abandoning the commons in breeding. No technical solution can rescue us from the misery of overpopulation. Freedom to breed will bring ruin to all. At the moment, to avoid hard decisions many of us are tempted to propagandize for conscience and responsible parenthood. The temptation must be resisted, because an appeal to independently acting consciences selects for the disappearance of all conscience in the long run, and an increase in anxiety in the short.

The only way we can preserve and nurture other and more precious freedoms is by relinquishing the freedom to breed, and that very soon. "Freedom is the recognition of necessity" - and it is the role of education to reveal to all the necessity of abandoning the freedom to breed. Only so, can we put an end to this aspect of the tragedy of the commons.

The Tanton Network’s purpose is to control the immigration policy in America which is key to achieving population control. We all know this goes against Natural Law to ‘control’ our population. These organizations are becoming bolder but still try to hide the truth from the unsuspecting public. Because of the current illegal surge, they have been able to demonize those crossing illegally to suit their agenda. Conservatives that would not normally align themselves with either an extreme environmentalist or abortion group are doing so because of the current border crisis.

The following are some of the NUMBERSUSA and FAIR board members who are also on Planned Parenthood and other environmental groups. Don Weeden is the treasurer of NUMBERSUSA and is interestingly enough the Executive Director of the Weeden Foundation that has a Green War with immigrants. His foundation contributes to FAIR.

Don Weeden is the Executive Director of the Weeden Foundation which supports a wide range of programs that aim to preserve biodiversity, nationally and internationally. The Foundation has helped preserve more than 6,000,000 acres of biologically important habitat worldwide. Currently, the Foundation is particularly interested in protecting the temperate rainforest habitat along the coast of northern California to Alaska and Chilean Patagonia. In addition, it has supported or currently supports projects in environmentally sensitive regions of the western United States, central Russia, Bolivia, Namibia, Mexico and various Caribbean nations. Prior to his work at the Foundation, Don had a nearly 25-year career in the international population and economic development field, serving in various field and management positions for Columbia University and other non-governmental organizations devoted to increasing access to family planning services. He is a specialist on South and Southeast Asian population issues, where he lived and worked for nearly 20 years. He has also worked in Mexico, Eastern Europe, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Don has a Masters in Population Planning (Public Health) from the University of Michigan.

NUMBERSUSA has a very well written goal statement made to camouflage the truth about their group.

Founded and led by author Roy Beck on the principle that exploding immigration levels were undermining other Congressional efforts aimed at improving the quality of life in America, the non-partisan immigration reduction organization NumbersUSA seeks to restore immigration numbers – both legal and illegal – in the United States to traditional levels in order to ensure long-term U.S. sustainability.

FAIR board members

Sharon Barnes
Ms. Barnes is a businesswoman who owns and runs a company that restores and manages historic properties. She is active in historic preservation and frequently testifies before landmark commissions. A founding Board member of FAIR, Ms. Barnes has also been active in population, environment and women's issues. She received her MBA from Columbia University

Sarah G. Epstein
Ms. Epstein is an art lecturer and volunteer. She serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations, including Pathfinder International, Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, Center for Development and Population Activities and The Population Institute. She has served as a volunteer for the Urban League and as an organizer for civil rights marches in Washington, D.C. She is a graduate of Oberlin College and Simmons School of Social Work.

Tanton is listed as a national board advisor to FAIR along with other notable abortion advocates such as Bonnie Erbe author of an article entitled “Abortion is not a Tragedy.” And Diana Hull another cold hearted extremist who is quoted in, “Sacrificing Babies to the Gods of Global Warming.” Hull writes,

“Human overpopulation is the fundamental environmental problem. Excessive greenhouse gases—like loss of open space, like traffic congestion, like never-ending sprawl—are one of the symptoms. Habitat loss due to population growth is the greatest threat to wildlife, a far greater threat than global warming.”

People are of no consequence to radicals who worship the environment as their god. These groups continue to enjoy favorable recognition nationwide at our peril. If you ask Tanton or Beck you will receive their usual denial but the facts are clear, they are not conservatives as they would like for us to believe and they most certainly are not Pro Life. We have to be vigilant not to find that we have slowly ‘evolved’ to the dark side.
