ABOUT THIS EVENT

Texans are bearing the costs of congressional gridlock and increasingly fraught immigration policies. Extremism is hindering our ability to unlock our full economic potential and build a prosperous future for our state.  We have the talent at our doorstep, and it is in the best interest of all Texans to harness it.  Regardless of background or political ideology, there are countless reasons to support our immigrant communities. 76% of undocumented people are already employed, often in the jobs that our dynamic economy needs. Bringing people out of the shadows and protecting them from audits and deportation gives stability to workers and employers alike.

The Texas Immigration Law Council (TXILC) is pleased to partner with Stan Marek of Marek Brothers, Dr. Tony Payan of the Baker Institute, Rational Middle Immigration, Linda Lorelle Media, and their hosts at the Greater Houston Partnership for an engaging conversation on practical immigration reforms with local stakeholders in business, politics, faith communities, and beyond.  We will begin with a screening of the Rational Middle Immigration film, Exploring Solutions:  ID & Tax Proposal, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A moderated by Linda Lorelle.
