Obama to Pardoned Turkeys: "It feels pretty good to stop at least one shellacking this November."

President Obama pardoned two turkeys today named "Apple" and "Cider" during the annual ceremony in the Rose Garden. The pair of turkeys come from a ranch near Modesto, CA but will be spending the rest of their days at Mount Vernon.

Obama even made fun of the huge Democrat loss coming out of the midterm elections by saying, "It feels pretty good to stop at least one shellacking this November."

The two turkeys got to spend the night last night at Hotel Washington, each in its own room and own bed with bottled water.

Watch the funny spoof from The Onion below in which Obama outlines moral and philosophical justifications for the turkey pardon.
